Maryvale English Medium School, Kinnigoli, marked a significant and inspiring occasion with the blessing and unveiling of the statue of SD RFC Mascarenhas, the revered Founder of Bethany. The solemn ceremony was held on 3rd July 2026 at 2.30 pm in the school ground, bringing together management, staff, students, and well-wishers.
The event began with a prayer song with a spirit of reverence and gratitude, in honoring the life and legacy of SD RFC Mascarenhas, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for value-based education and service.
The statue was ceremoniously unveiled by Rev Sr Lilly Pereira BS, Corporate Manager and Provincial Superior of the Mangalore Province. Her presence added dignity to the occasion as she highlighted the founder’s enduring contribution to education and society.
The statue was then blessed by Rev Fr Joachim Fernandes, Parish Priest of Immaculate Conception Church, Kinnigoli. Through prayers and blessings, he invoked God’s grace upon the institution, encouraging all present to draw inspiration from the founder’s life of faith, service, and commitment.
The Sisters from neighboring communities, staff and well-wishers were present. The beautifully installed statue now stands as a symbol of inspiration for students and staff, reminding them of the noble ideals and values upheld by SD RFC Mascarenhas.
