It was a memorable day on July 29, 2026 for the BLA unit of Genazzano Convent, Taccode as it celebrated ‘BLA DAY’ along with the Parish Priest, Parish Pastoral Council, Pious Associations and the family members of BLA with a solemn thanksgiving Eucharistic Celebration at 5pm in the Convent. The total no of participants were 80. A sapling was planted after the Mass to mark the day. This was followed by a cultural programme presented by the members and games were conducted for the gathering and prizes were awarded by the guests. The Parish Priest Fr Rohan Lobo appreciated the members for their service in arranging for the Mass on Sundays and Altar decorations on Feast days.
It was followed by a stage programme presided over by Sr Sharaon Preeti, the office Asst. in the Province Procurator of Mangalore Province. In her presidential address she congratulated the BLA members for arranging such a beautiful and unique celebration even in the rural area like Taccode. She also appreciated them for their active participation in all the activities of the unit and the Parish throughout the year and in particular the days programme.
She called upon the members to continue their good work in the present society and in each ones neighborhood by becoming other centered. A sumptuous meal was served cooked by the members themselves was served to the participants. The programme got ended at 9pm.
