Bethany CBSE School Unveils New Extension Block and Lift Facility

Bethany CBSE School, Kinnikambla, witnessed a memorable and joyous occasion on 14 June 2026 with the inauguration and blessing of its newly constructed extension block and lift facility. The event marked another milestone in the institution’s ongoing commitment to providing quality education and modern infrastructure for its students.

The programme began with a vibrant band procession that welcomed the dignitaries, guests, parents, staff members, students, and well-wishers. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and gratitude as the school community gathered to celebrate the successful completion of the project.

The new facilities were inaugurated by Rev. Sr Rose Celine BS, Superior General and President of Bethany Educational Society, and Rev. Sr Lilly Pereira BS, Provincial Superior and Corporate Manager Mangalore. Rev. Fr Rudolf Ravi D’Sa blessed the new building, praying for God’s guidance and blessings upon all who would learn and work within its walls.

The formal gathering commenced with a prayer service followed by a warm welcome to the distinguished guests by Sr Leena Pereir, Superior Rosa Mystica Convent. A special felicitation programme was organized to honour the individuals whose dedication and hard work made the project possible. The engineer, contractor, supervisor, electrician, and other contributors were recognised and appreciated for their valuable service.

In her address, Rev. Sr Rose Celine BS spoke about the importance of education in transforming lives and communities. She recalled the vision of the Bethany founder, who believed that education should reach every child, especially those from rural areas. She highlighted the remarkable growth of the institution and encouraged everyone to continue working together to build a brighter future through learning and service. She also emphasized the need to equip students with modern skills and knowledge so that they can confidently face the challenges of a rapidly changing world.

Rev. Sr Lilly Pereira BS expressed her happiness at the expansion of the school facilities. She noted that the additional classrooms and modern amenities would create a more comfortable and enriching learning environment for students. She encouraged the students to make the best use of the opportunities provided and strive for excellence in all areas of life.

 The newly inaugurated block reflects the school’s vision of combining academic excellence with holistic development. It stands as a symbol of progress, dedication, and the collective efforts of many people who contributed to the institution’s growth.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal, Sr. Jacintha D’Souza BS, who expressed her gratitude to the dignitaries, benefactors, staff, parents, and students for their support and presence. The celebration ended with a hymn of thanksgiving, followed by refreshments and fellowship.
