A GRACE-FILLED JOURNEY TOWARDS THE RUBY JUBILEE

As the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore Province, prepares to celebrate its Ruby Jubilee, a series of spiritual renewal programmes is being held across eight centres in the Province. The second batch was conducted on September 29 at Rosa Mystica Convent, Kinnikambla.

74 Sisters from Rosa Mystica Convent, Kinnikambla; Pompei Convent, Kowdur; Nazareth Convent, Bajpe; and St. Joseph Convent, Subadha, Madeline Convent Mulki participated in the programme.

Rev Fr Franklin D’Souza  a Renowned Catholic Charismatic preacher served as the resource  person. The programme began with prayer and a welcome by Sr. M. Leena Pereira BS, Superior of Rosa Mystica Convent. Sr Roselyta BS introduced the resource person, while Sr. Manisha Maria Rodrigues BS compered the programme.

Reflecting on the theme “Rooted in Christ, Guided by Mary,” Fr Franklin invited the Sisters to examine the challenges and crises in religious life and to rediscover Jesus through Scripture, humility, obedience and renewed love for the Word of God. The Holy Eucharist provided an opportunity for deeper communion with Christ and reflection on one’s conscience, vocation and mission.

The afternoon session focused on forgiveness, reconciliation and worthy participation in the Eucharist. The programme concluded with Eucharistic Adoration, healing and anointing, offering the Sisters a time of prayer, surrender and spiritual renewal. These programmes serve as meaningful moments to look back with gratitude, live the present with renewed faith and move forward with hope and a deeper commitment to their mission and vocation.   Sr Anita Lydia BS proposed the vote of thanks bringing the day to a meaningful close.
