A vibrant Women’s Day celebration was held at the Gram Panchayat Hall in Vesa Village, Vadgam Taluk, on March 10, 2025. The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Sr Gracy, the Vice President of BCT, Sr Lilly, Sr Jasmine, Sr Smita (the resource person for the program), Sr Wilma the secretary of BCT and Fr Shaiji, Parish Priest Catholic Ashram Limboi along with 38 enthusiastic women from the village. The atmosphere was filled with energy and excitement as various games and activities were conducted, bringing smiles and joy to all participants. The highlight of the day was the inspiring resource talk delivered by Sr Smita and Fr Shaiji, who shared valuable insights and encouragement, empowering the women to pursue their dreams and uplift their communities. Their words were uplifting, motivating all the attendees to continue working towards personal and collective growth. The women present expressed deep appreciation for the enriching session, which left them feeling more confident and connected to one another.
The event also provided an excellent opportunity for the women to come together, share their experiences, and celebrate their achievements. The sense of unity and solidarity was evident throughout the program, fostering a strong sense of community. Sr Gracy’s presence as the Vice President of BCT added a sense of importance to the occasion, reinforcing the significance of empowering women in rural areas.
To make the celebration even more special, refreshments were provided at the end of the program, ensuring that everyone felt appreciated and cared for.
