The Sisters of Mary Queen Convent, Karkal, along with BLA members, joyfully celebrated the Twin Jubilee of our beloved Founder, SD RFC Mascarenhas, on 9th March 2025—marking a significant milestone in his legacy. This special occasion commemorated his 150th birth anniversary and the 125th anniversary of his priestly ordination.

The event was organized with deep devotion and enthusiasm, uniting clergy, parishioners, and well-wishers to honour the life and contributions of our Founder. The celebration began with a solemn Thanksgiving Mass presided over by Rev Fr Clement Mascarenhas, who highlighted the Founder’s unwavering faith and lifelong service to the Church and society. The congregation offered heartfelt prayers in gratitude for his visionary mission and enduring legacy.

This spiritually enriching celebration not only honoured SD RFC Mascarenhas but also reinforced the values he instilled—faith, compassion, and service. Known as a compassionate pastor, his memory continues to inspire us all.

To mark the significance of the day and live out his values, the inmates of Mary Queen Convent, undertook a small humanitarian outreach. In an effort to embody love, kindness, and selfless service, they distributed essentials—10 kg rice, 1 kg tea powder, 1 kg dhal, and 1 liter of oil—to 22 underprivileged families in our parish community.

We pray that this celebration remains etched in our hearts and that our beloved Founder may one day be honoured at the Altar. May his spirit live on through every act of service, and may God bless each of us as we continue to spread the values of the Kingdom of God.
