The twin jubilee of our revered Founder, RFC Mascharenhas, was celebrated with immense joy and gratitude by the sisters of Shanthi Rani Convent, Siddakatte, on Sunday, 23rd March 2025, at St Patrick’s Church, Siddakatte. The celebration brought together parishioners and the Sisters of UFS, our neighboring religious community, in a spirit of unity and thanksgiving.
The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev Fr Maurice D’Souza, who offered prayers for our Founder and the sisters. The occasion became even more special as the Parish Women’s Association joined in, marking International Women’s Day in conjunction with the jubilee. Mrs Precilla D’Costa, a member of the committee, delivered a heartfelt introduction and acknowledged the significant contributions of our Founder RFC, including his instrumental role in acquiring the land on which the Church stands today.
Following the Mass, cake and books about our Founder were distributed to parishioners, a gesture of sharing his enduring legacy with the faithful. The celebration concluded on a joyful and grateful note, honouring a visionary whose impact continues to inspire.
