The Taluk Level Throw ball Tournament for Under-14 and Under-17 Boys and Girls was held at St Raymond’s English Medium School, Vamanjoor on 09th October 2025. The inaugural programme began at 9.30 am.
Sr Mariolla, the Coordinator for Education, presided over the programme. The Block Education Officer, Sir Jnanesh, was present as the Chief Guest for the inauguration. Other dignitaries present included Sr Lavita Moras, Superior of St. Raymond’s Convent, Vamanjoor; Mrs Lilly Pais, TPEO; Sir Thyagam Secretary of PET, Bangalore, Sir Shekar Kadthal, President, PET of Mangalore Taluk, Sir Ikbal Hasan, PTA Vice President; Sr Sadhana, Principal of St Raymond’s PU College; Dr Sujana, In-charge Principal of St Raymond’s Degree College; and Sr Manisha Rodrigues, Headmistress of St Raymond’s English Medium School.In her introductory address, Mrs Lilly Pais motivated the students to develop a spirit of sportsmanship and expressed her gratitude to the host school for organizing the event. The inauguration ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the President of the programme, Sr Mariolla, along with the other dignitaries.
The tournament was officially inaugurated by BEO Sir Jnanesh, who, in his address, encouraged the students to participate enthusiastically and give their best performance. Sr Mariolla, in her presidential message, conveyed her best wishes to all the teams for the tournament.
The inaugural programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Shobitha, and the event was compered by Mrs. Nayana. The matches continued throughout the day, and the concluding ceremony was held at 5.15 pm. Mrs Lilly Pais, TPEO, graced the occasion and awarded trophies and medals to the winners and runners-up.
