The annual Investiture Ceremony was held at St Raymond English Medium School Vamanjoor on 23rd June 2025 with great dignity and enthusiasm, marking the formal induction of the new student leadership team for the academic year 2025-26.
The ceremony commenced with the ceremonial escort of distinguished guests to the main hall. Sr Cicilia Mendonca, the newly appointed Correspondent, along with Sr Manisha, the Headmistress, and the incoming cabinet members were led in a traditional band procession to the venue.
The investiture ceremony began on a spiritual note with a graceful prayer dance, setting a reverent tone for the proceedings. Following this, Sr Manisha, the Headmistress, extended a warm welcome to Sr Cicilia Mendonca in her new role as Correspondent, as well as to all gathered members of the school community.

The highlight of the event was the conferring of badges of honor and responsibility upon the newly elected student leaders. The Senior Prefect Leader (SPL) Reeva Sancia Rodrigues and Assistant Senior Prefect Leader (ASPL) Poojith received their badges from Sr Cicilia Mendonca, the Correspondent. The remaining cabinet members were honored with their badges by Sr Manisha, the Headmistress, along with Sr Pramila and Sr Sushma.
Following the badge presentation, the formal oath-taking ceremony was conducted, where the student leaders pledged to uphold their responsibilities with dedication and integrity.
SPL Reeva, speaking on behalf of the entire cabinet, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the trust placed in the student leadership team. She assured the gathering that all cabinet members would execute their duties to the best of their abilities and with unwavering commitment to the school’s values and mission.
In her inaugural address, Sr Cicilia Mendonca congratulated the newly inducted cabinet members and emphasized the significance of their roles within the school community. She reminded them of their responsibilities by drawing inspiration from the wisdom of Mahatma Gandhi and President John F Kennedy, encouraging them to lead by example and serve with dedication.
The ceremony concluded with a formal vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all those who contributed to making the event successful and memorable.
