St Raymond’s PU College holds Investiture Ceremony

      “Leadership is a combination of strategy and character.”

The Investiture Ceremony for the newly elected College Council of St Raymond’s PU College for the academic year 2025–2026 was held with grandeur and solemnity on 20th June 2025 in the college auditorium.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries. The event was inaugurated by Rev. Fr Jeevan Shailesh Lobo, Asst. Parish Priest, St Joseph the Worker’s Church, Vamanjoor. He formally inducted the newly elected student council by lighting the ceremonial lamp. In his inaugural address, Rev. Fr Jeevan highlighted the vital role of leadership qualities like leadership, listening and Loyalty to the Institution and the significance of team spirit in achieving shared goals.

Rev. Sr Mariola BS, Coordinator for the Educational Apostolate, Mangalore Province, Presided over the function. In her presidential address, she urged students to nurture intellectual curiosity, maintain a positive mindset, and promote teamwork—elements she described as essential for both institutional and societal development. She concluded her speech with a powerful message: “Everyone has equal potential and equal opportunities—explore yourself and rise to it.”

The Chief Guest of the day, Dr Sheshappa Amin, NSS Coordinator of Mangalore University, appreciated the organizers for the seamless planning and execution of the program. Addressing the council members, he emphasized that a true leader is defined by their willingness to serve and unwavering dedication to duty.

During the program, Sr Dr Mariola BS was also felicitated for her exceptional service to the institution as the Correspondent, in recognition of her dedication and contributions.

The oath-taking ceremony was solemnly administered by Sr Dr Sadhana BS, Principal of the college. Her presence and guidance instilled in the council members a profound sense of responsibility, commitment, and integrity.

The event was compered with poise and professionalism by Ms Zulfa and Ms Rihana. Ms Raulathul Shazin, newly elected President of the College Council, delivered a heartfelt message of assurance on behalf of the student body, promising to uphold the values and responsibilities entrusted to them.

The ceremony concluded with gracious vote of thanks proposed by Ms Angel Crasta, marking the end of a memorable and inspiring event.
