St Raymond’s P U College holds PTA Annual General Body Meeting

PTA Annual General Body Meeting – Academic Year 2025–2026

The PTA Annual General Body Meeting for the academic year 2025–2026 was held in the auditorium of St Raymond’s PU College, Vamanjoor, in a warm and vibrant atmosphere. The session began by invoking the divine blessings, setting a reflective tone for the day.

The program was Presided over by Rev Sr Cicilia Mendonca, the Correspondent of the PU College. In her insightful presidential address, she emphasized the significance of cultivating a healthy parent-child relationship. She reminded the gathering that parents are the first and lifelong teachers of their children. “In the hustle of modern life, it is vital to create quality time, be patient listeners, and lead by example,” she urged.

The highlight of the event was the keynote address delivered by Mr Raghavendra Holla, Chairman of Swastika Business School. A dynamic speaker and visionary, Mr Holla captivated the audience with his talk on positive parenting. He encouraged parents to nurture values like compassion, responsibility, and global citizenship in their children. “Raising children who touch the lives of others positively is the true measure of success,” he noted.

The event was graced by Rev Sr Lavita BS, Superior of St  Raymond’s Convent, whose presence added grace and dignity to the occasion. Sr Dr Sadhana BS, Principal of the College, communicated essential updates and key takeaways to the parents, reinforcing the shared vision of academic and moral excellence.

Mr Mayyadi, Vice President of the PTA Executive Committee, was also present on the dais. A delightful welcome dance by the students added a vibrant rhythm to the event and set a joyful tone for the proceedings.

A significant moment of the program was the unveiling of the Silver Jubilee Logo, a symbol of the institution’s legacy and forward vision. The logo was officially released by the President of the function and Mrs Vinita Tauro eloquently explained the meaning and symbolism behind its design.

Mrs Geetha, Joint Secretary, presented a comprehensive synopsis of the college’s activities and the impactful work done by the PTA during the previous academic year. Mrs Lidwin Crasta extended a heartfelt welcome to all attendees, while Mrs. Harinakshi, Treasurer, presented the audited financial report, reflecting transparency and accountability.

Mrs Anitha Ferrao, Lecturer, introduced the newly appointed members of the PTA Executive Committee. Mr Hemanth gave a warm and informative introduction of the Chief Guest, preparing the audience for a thought-provoking session. The event was smoothly anchored by Ms Savitha Menezes, Lecturer and concluded with a gracious vote of thanks proposed by Mr Ravichandra.

The overwhelming participation of parents made the program a grand success, reflecting their commitment and strong partnership with the college in shaping the future of the students.
