The Social Apostolate meeting was held on 26th August 2025 at 9.00 am at Bethany Provincialate, Vamanjoor, on the theme “A Bethany Sister – A Beacon of Light to the Nation.” A meaningful prayer service led by Srs Dona and Aruna set a reflective tone.
Sr Flavia, the Social Apostolate Coordinator, welcomed the gathering. Sr Lilly Pereira BS the Provincial Superior, in her inaugural address, urged the sisters to embody compassion as their true identity and to be instruments of healing, especially among the marginalized.
The resource person, Sr Cynthia, speaking on “As Pilgrims of Hope,” reminded the sisters that their mission demands daily fidelity, courage, and hope, drawing inspiration from biblical figures. An interactive “Human Knot” activity highlighted unity and collaboration.
Reports from social work centres were presented, and Sr Lilly Pereira emphasized networking, lay leadership training, and studies on human trafficking. Contributions of Srs Agnesia, Leena, and Suma were gratefully acknowledged.
The meeting concluded with renewed commitment to Christ’s mission with the Angelus at 12.45 pm.
