Silver Jubilee Inaugurated with Grandeur at St Raymond’s PU College

St Raymond’s Pre-University College, Vamanjoor, Mangalore, marked a significant milestone in its illustrious journey by inaugurating its Silver Jubilee Celebrations, commemorating 25 years of excellence in education, discipline, and holistic development. The inaugural ceremony was held with great enthusiasm and reverence, showcasing the institution’s commitment to nurturing responsible, value-based citizens.

The event was graced by Sr  Dr Lilly Pereira, Provincial Superior and Corporate Manager, Mangalore Province who formally inaugurated the Silver Jubilee Logo and launched the official website of the college www.straymondspucollege.com.  In her address, Sr Dr Lilly Pereira highlighted the student- and humanity-oriented vision behind the college’s seven landmark projects and lauded the institution’s dedication to quality education and moral values. She expressed her heartfelt appreciation for Sr Cicilia Mendonca, the Correspondent, Sr Sadhana, Principal, and the team of dedicated Lecturers—past and present—who have been the pillars of the college’s growth. She urged students to embrace their responsibilities and grow into exemplary individuals in society.

Adding musical spirit to the occasion, M. Mohas Das Shetty of Das Associates unveiled the College Anthem, filled with pride and passion. Commending the institution’s impact, he remarked, “St Raymond’s PU College stands tall in Vamanjoor and Mangalore, instilling values of discipline, education, and character. May it grow and thrive for a hundred more years.”

Mr. Edward Francis Pereira, who inaugurated the Lucky Coupon Draw, spoke as a proud parent of two alumni who have gone on to become successful engineers. He praised the college’s administration and the relentless efforts of its lecturers and staff. “This institution deserves to shine for another hundred years,” he said.

Mr Anil D’Mello, an alumnus of the college, shared an emotional personal journey. “When I joined, I considered myself as the least capable among my peers,” he recalled, “but by the time I graduated, I was honored as the Best Student of the College. This transformation was possible only because of the nurturing environment and values instilled here.”

A Milestone Moment: Science Park Inauguration & Silver Jubilee Celebration at St Raymond’s PU College

The inauguration of the Science Park Project marked a proud and memorable chapter in the legacy of St Raymond’s PU College. Gracing the occasion was Sr Lavita BS, Superior of St Raymond’s Convent, whose words of admiration for the college’s commitment to innovation and experiential learning deeply resonated with everyone present. Her presence, along with that of Sr Vidya, Headmistress of St Raymond’s High School, Sr Manisha, Headmistress of the Composite High School, and Sr Paulette, Supervisor of the Degree College, added a touch of grace and warmth to the celebration.

The programme unfolded seamlessly, thanks to the eloquent and lively compering by Mrs Savitha Menezes, Mrs Likitha, and Mrs Lidwin Crasta, who ensured a smooth and engaging flow of events. A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs Prajna AK, who expressed sincere gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty, and supporters who made the event possible.

The event was thoughtfully organized under the inspiring leadership of Mr. Jayaram, Mr Ravichandra and the dedicated team of committee members, whose behind-the-scenes efforts brought everything together beautifully.

The ceremony began on a spiritual note with a soul-stirring prayer song, led by Mrs Anitha Ferrao, Mrs Harinakshi, Mrs Geetha, and the college choir, setting a serene tone for the day. This was followed by a vibrant and captivating welcome dance, choreographed under the guidance of Mrs Carmela and Mrs Vinita, with active support from the Commerce faculty. The performance radiated energy and joy, offering a heartfelt welcome to all the guests.

Adding a modern and creative touch to the event were the digital displays and visual presentations, skilfully managed by Mrs Avita, Mr Hemanth, Miss Nireeksha, and students Nikith, Kiran Raj, Fahima Riza, Rishanth, and Devesh. Their efforts truly brought the Science Park concept to life.

The success of the programme was a collective achievement, made possible by the enthusiastic involvement of the entire faculty and student body. This special occasion also coincided with the Silver Jubilee of St Raymond’s PU College—a celebration not only of 25 years of academic excellence but of the unwavering spirit that continues to drive the institution forward. It was a heartfelt reaffirmation of the college’s mission: to serve society through quality education, character-building, and innovation.
