Senior Sisters Meet at Bethany Provincialate, Vamanjoor

The Senior Sisters Meet was joyfully celebrated on 20 December 2025 at Bethany Provincialate, Vamanjoor, bringing together senior sisters aged 75 to 97. The gathering beautifully honored their wisdom, faith, and joyful spirit.

It was a moving sight to see the senior sisters enter the hall with dignity and happiness—some walking steadily, others using wheelchairs, walkers, or batons—lovingly escorted by the junior sisters, the “angels” of the Province.

The resource person,  Fr Canute Barboza, Parish Priest of St.Dominic Church, Miyar, reflected on the theme “Prepare for Life”, reminding the sisters that life is a sacred journey toward God. He encouraged them to live with gratitude, free from complaints, and with hearts prepared for eternal life.

Sr Lilly Pereira, BS, Provincial Superior, expressed heartfelt appreciation, calling the senior sisters the “treasure of the Province,” and presented each one with a meaningful gift as a token of love and gratitude.

The program was enriched by touching performances from the Candidates and children of Raymond’s High School and Primary School, along with games and prize distribution. The celebration concluded with a joyful fellowship and a sumptuous dinner.

Sr Shalet D’Souza compered the program, and Sr Divina proposed the vote of thanks. The day left everyone deeply moved, experiencing love, unity, and renewed bonds of affection among the sisters.
