“Choose Life – Reject Addiction “with the theme of “Mental Health Awareness, Stress Management and Drug Awareness program was jointly organized by Rosa Mystica PU College and the NSS Unit on 5 July 2025.
Mental Health Awareness, Stress management and Drug awareness topics were dealt upon.
The ceremony commenced with a Prayer and was inaugurated with a lighting of the lamp.
Sr Anita Lydia, the Principal emphasized the students about the issue of drug addiction, highlighting its emergence as a significant social problem. Life is a precious gift from God and it’s our responsibility to love and take care of it.
Mrs Shashikala B Counselor and Coordinator of Community Services –Mr Nandakishore Shetty Public relations Officer, Mr Ashwith Marketing Manager Dr Thunga’ s Manaswini hospital Mangalore were the resource persons for creating an awareness in a comprehensive manner. They provided detailed information on how addiction develops in its early stages and adverse effects of drug use on an addict’s life. The practical ways shared to handle stress were informative. With various examples they communicated its severe impact on physical and mental health. The event was compered by Mr Avil Renil D’Silva the NSS coordinator. Mrs. Supriya Lecturer in English extends a warm welcome to the Dignitaries, staff and the students. Mrs Esha Dsouza Lecturer in Commerce Proposed the Vote of thanks. By organizing such impactful events, College continues to demonstrate its commitment to the well-being of its students ensuring a brighter and healthier future for all.
