Mrs Savitha Menezes
St Raymond’s PU College, Vamanjoor, came alive with vibrant colours, creativity, and enthusiasm as it celebrated its annual cultural fest – Ray Fiesta 2025. The event was a true reflection of the institution’s spirit of excellence and community, bringing together students, staff, alumni, and esteemed guests.
Inauguration and Presidential Address
The day began with a solemn prayer service led by the college choir, under the guidance of Mrs Anitha Ferrao and Mrs Avita Menezes, invoking divine blessings for a successful event. The formal program was Presided over by our Principal, Sr Dr Sadhana BS, who, in her Presidential address, emphasized the power of self-confidence, courage and Creativity as the foundation for personal and academic success.
Dignitaries and Guest Insights
We were honoured by the presence of Rev Fr Joseph Martis, Parish Priest of Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail. His keynote speech reminded students of the irreplaceable role of teachers in a student’s life. Comparing a teacher to a compass for a boat, he remarked, “Without a guru, a student is like a boat without direction.” He also highlighted that while talents are valuable, hard work is the real driver of success.
The Chief Guest, Sr Sonia, Novice Directress at Rosa Mystica Novitiate, added great value with her motivating message and warm presence. She also served as the judge for various cultural competitions, appreciating the passion and performance of the students.

Celebrating Our Alumni
Adding excitement to the event, we welcomed two distinguished alumni: Mr Dhiraj Neermarga, runner-up of Zee Kannada’s Comedy Kiladi, and Mr Sheikh Faizal, a successful entrepreneur. Their presence served as a proud reminder of the dynamic and diverse achievements of our Raymondian family.
Honouring Academic Excellence
A major highlight of Ray Fiesta 2025 was the felicitation ceremony, where academic toppers and distinction holders from the 2024–25 batch were honoured for their achievements. The ceremony, led by Mrs Savitha Menezes, served as a source of inspiration for all students, emphasizing the importance of consistent effort and dedication.
