Mrs Vanishree
The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Annual General Meeting of Madeleine PU College for the academic year 2025–26 was held on 10th July 2025 at 2:00 PM in the college auditorium. The meeting was a well-organised and meaningful event that brought together parents, faculty, and management to review the past year and align on goals for the upcoming academic session.
The programme commenced with a prayer song, invoking divine blessings for the session ahead, followed by a welcome dance performed by the students, which added a graceful and cultural start to the occasion.
The formal stage programme was skilfully compered by Mrs Vanishree, Lecturer in Commerce.
The proceedings began with a welcome speech by Mr Vishanth Shetty, Lecturer in Political Science, who extended heartfelt greetings to the dignitaries, parents, and attendees.
This was followed by the report reading by Mrs Roshni, Secretary of the PTA and Lecturer in Statistics, who presented a comprehensive overview of the PTA’s initiatives and progress over the past academic year.
A significant part of the gathering was the introduction and welcoming of the newly elected PTA executive members, followed by a formal handover of responsibilities to the incoming office-bearers.
Sr Lydia Shanti Mendonca, Principal of the college, then addressed the gathering. In her speech, she outlined important guidelines and provided updates on college activities, emphasising the importance of cooperation between parents and teachers for the overall development of students.
The programme also included a moment of recognition and felicitation of lecturers who achieved 100% results in their respective subjects—an acknowledgement of their dedication and hard work.
This was followed by the Presidential Address by Sister Mariola BS, Correspondent of the college, who spoke about the values and vision of the institution and commended the collaborative efforts of the PTA and teaching staff.
Mrs Shanthi Fernandis, Vice President of the PTA, delivered a thoughtful speech, appreciating the unity and involvement of parents in college affairs.
An enriching talk was delivered by the resource person, Mr Muniraj Jain Rejala, who spoke on “The Role and Challenges of Parents in Shaping a Cultured Life.” His insights were well-received and provided meaningful takeaways for all present.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs Ramya, Lecturer in Economics, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, staff, parents, and students for their presence and support.
The programme ended on a patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem.
