History
The compassionate heart of Fr Founder felt the need of fatherless children. He had a special love for them the downtrodden and the poor had a place in his heart. On 1st June, 1935 Mgr Mascarenhas, Mother Martha, Sr Josephine and Sr Margaret had come from Bethany Mother House for the opening of an Orphanage. It was named as Maryvale Orphanage. Girls from remote places got an opportunity to get education. They were accommodated in a rented house of Dr J M Lobo called “Mary villa.” The orphanage was recognized in 1948-1949. At present there are 65 students.
