Since June 1,1946 the Madeleine School Blooms Mulki has grown like a mighty tree, under whose sheltering branches thousands of children have gained moral strength and education. Thanks to the far sighted vision of the late father RFC Mascarenhas the Founder of the sisters of the Little flowers of Bethany.

Fr Founder opened the school in 1946 from 5th to 7th and appointed Catholic teachers  headed by Ms Alice Pinto. The school continued very efficiently with the committed  service of the lay teachers and in1958 the school was handed over to the Bethany Sisters. The same year Permission had been obtained from the educational authorities to open the primary class from 1 to 5th  which was attached to the high

school and permanent recognition was obtained on 1st December 1961.  The school was administrated by the high school headmistress. Ms Alice Pinto up to 1967 then on wards Sr. Ann Tresa was the headmistress in 1970 the primary sections was separated and Ms Leena Saldana Asst teachers once appointed as the headmistress for a year. Then  on wards Sister becomes headmistress , Sr Carmine Monteiro, Sr Diana , Sr Jessy Lita Sr Mercine Dsouza, Sr Carmine Misquith ,Sr Stella Menezes (Blandine) , Sr Irene Rose Rego (Pavana) Sr Lilly Gonsalves  Sr Veronica Pinto (Arun Savio), Sr Gracy Santhumayor (Gracy Monica) , Sr Precilla Flory Dsouza Present renders her valuable service.

The school strives to impart BES vision, core values and Pedagogy. The vision statement is “Transformative Education for the fullness of Life’. The Institution has been imparting value based Quality Education.

Every day school begins with prayer. Value education is imparted through the catechisms and value education classes. Students are availed opportunities to grow through their talents by various programme and competitions conducted by school and department.

Along with the Academics Extra curriculum activities such as sports and games, dance, singing and drawing. Students also take part in competitions like speech, drawing and flower making etc, in the school and outside arranged by the department. With the support of the parents and well-wishers the school has made progress step by step.

At the present Sr Mariola is the correspondent of  Madeleine Hr Primary School Mulki. We have 237children both boys and girls hailing from the lower strata of the society. There are  only four  aided teachers and rest of them are substitute teachers. Sister Precilla Flory Dsouza  caries forward with responsibility the concerns of the school. Madeleine Higher Primary School bloom and spread the fragrance through our witness of life, our aspiration and prayer. Let ‘Madeleine Higher Primary school grow, increase and bear-fruit.
