The initiation ceremony of 22 Pre-Novices into the Rosa Mystica Novitiate Kinnikambla was held on 07 June 2025. The Pre-Novices, coming from the Provinces of Guwahati, Silchar, Northern, Eastern, Western and Mangalore were joyfully welcomed into the Novitiate
The ceremony began with a w welcome note. Sr Sonia Dias, the Novice Directress, received the candidates at the entrance of the Novitiate by lighting their lamp. The formal initiation into the Novitiate formation was conducted by Sr Lilly Pereira, Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province. She was joined by Sr Erasma, Provincial Superior of Northern Province; and Sr Jessy Maria, Provincial Superior of Eastern Province. Sr Sally, Provincial Superior of Western Province Sr Mary Dikki, Provincial Councillor of Silchar Province Sr Ruth Mao, Provincial Councillor of Guwahati Province Sr Margarita, Provincial Councillor of Eastern Province and Sr Leena Pereira, Superior of Rosa Mystica Convent
Sr Erasma broke the Word of God and gave a meaningful homily. She invited the Pre-Novices to love Jesus deeply and personally. She encouraged them to spend time in silence and prayer, to listen to His voice, and to allow Him to shape their lives. She reminded them that formation is a time to grow in intimacy with Jesus, and only by being close to Him can they become true witnesses of His love.
The presentation of the Cross and the Book of Constitutions by Sr Lilly Pereira. This symbolic act represented the spiritual companionship of Jesus, the guiding spirit of our Founder, and the continuous support of the Bethany family throughout their formation journey.
Following the initiation, the senior novices organized a short but meaningful felicitation programme. They greeted the new novices with joy and wished them well for the journey ahead. A short skit was performed by the seniors, emphasizing the importance of allowing God to work in their lives and to be transformed into the likeness of Jesus.
In concluding message, Sr Jessy Maria encouraged the Novices to trust in God’s plan and to give themselves wholeheartedly to the formation process. She reminded them that God has called them personally and lovingly, and He will guide them every step of the way. She assured them of the prayers and support of the Bethany family and encouraged them to walk closely with Jesus each day.
The newly-initiated novices expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General, and her team, as well as to the Provincial Superiors and all the formators who have guided them .They thanked everyone who had contributed to their journey into the Novitiate.
