The spirit of patriotism and pride filled the air at Madeleine PU College, Mulki, as the students of the Commerce Batch ‘B’ organized a vibrant and meaningful Independence Day celebration, in the college auditorium.

The event was hosted gracefully by Eshal, a student of II Commerce, who carried the event forward with confidence and enthusiasm.

The cultural segment began with a patriotic dance performance, which evoked a deep sense of national pride among the audience. This was followed by a thought-provoking skit on women soldiers, showcasing the bravery and contribution of Indian women in the defense forces. The performance not only highlighted the strength of women in the armed forces but also inspired the audience with its powerful message.

Adding to the patriotic fervor, students sang a heartfelt patriotic song that resonated deeply with the gathering.

The celebration also included a prize distribution ceremony where winners of the quiz competition, conducted earlier, were awarded for their knowledge about India’s freedom struggle.

The chief guest for the occasion, Mrs Jayaprasanna Bangera, Head Mistress of Al-Azhar English Medium High School, Hejamady, delivered an inspiring speech. She emphasized the importance of remembering our freedom fighters and encouraged students to uphold the values of unity and discipline.

The Principal of Madeleine PU College addressed the gathering, appreciating the efforts of the students and staff for organizing such a meaningful event. She also urged students to be responsible citizens and contribute positively to the nation’s growth.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Arifa, II Commerce student. The event was meticulously planned and coordinated by Mrs Vanishree, Lecturer in Commerce, whose guidance and support played a key role in its successful execution.
