The Bethany Provincialate rejoiced in a grace filled celebration of the Golden and Silver Jubilee of our dear sisters a sacred day of thanksgiving, praising God for His unfailing faithfulness and for lives so beautifully offered in His service.
With deep joy, we honoured our Golden Jubilarians: Sr Therese Sequiera, Sr Elize Sequiera, Sr Dulcine Menezes, Sr Carmine Misquith, Sr Celine Vas, and Sr Aloysia and our Silver Jubilarians: Sr Lydia Shanthi Mendonca, Sr Mable Clara D’Mello, Sr Preethi Prathima, Sr Saritha Lobo, and Sr Veena Dsouza. Their 25 and 50 years of religious life speak of courageous love, quiet sacrifice, and steadfast commitment. Through their ministries, they have reflected Christ’s compassion to countless hearts.
The celebration began with an hour of thanksgiving prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. It was deeply prayerful moment where we placed their journey into the loving hands of the Lord. During the felicitation, Sr Lilly Pereira BS the Provincial Superior reminded us that many years ago, each sister courageously chose Christ, and that their “yes” has become a blessing not only for them but for many.
The Holy Eucharist, celebration was officiated by Rev Fr Maxim Rosario. In his homily, he beautifully shared that while gold and silver have great market value, the true gold and silver of our jubilarians are their dedication, prayer, sacrifice, and loving service.
“I am He who will sustain you… I will carry you and rescue you.” These words truly reflect the journey of our jubilarians. May the Lord who called them continue to sustain them, and may their lives remain a gentle light in our Bethany family.
