Madeleine PU College celebrated Freshers’ Day on 10 June 2025 with great Joy and excitement. The college organised the event to welcome the new I PUC students and help them integrate into campus life.
The programme began with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome. Our respected Principal, faculty members, and most notably our Chief Guest, Mr Ashok Kumar Shetty—retired Manager of Canara Bank and alumnus of Madeleine High School—graced the event.
The chief guest addressed the students and shared valuable insights on academic growth, emphasising the need to balance studies with extracurricular activities and to build strong character during the college years.
Principal Sr. Lydia Shanthi Mendonca, BS, delivered an inspiring message urging the students to stay committed to their academic goals and take an active part in extracurricular activities.
During this event, Harshitha Shetty of our college, who secured 9th State Rank in the board exam this year, was honoured with great pride.
After the formal session, the organisers conducted fun games for the new students. Senior students performed various cultural programmes, including skits, dances, and songs.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, where the organisers acknowledged the efforts of the faculty, organising committee, volunteers, and students.
