The Educators’ Meet, themed “Reimagining and Restructuring Bethany Educational Society,” was held on August 22, 2025, at Bethany Provincialate Vamanjoor, Mangalore. The event brought together educators to discuss innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
Sr Lilly Pereira, Provincial Superior and Corporate Manager, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the need for teachers to be mentors and role models in the digital age. She highlighted that education is a mission, not just a profession, and should focus on four key dimensions: knowledge, skills, character, and meta-learning.
Rev Fr Robert Dsouza, the resource person, stressed the importance of holistic student development. He outlined the four focus areas of the educators’ mission: students, teachers, parents, and society. He emphasized on storytelling, gamification, and inclusive education.
The principals and headmistresses from various schools presented action plans for the next ten years, focusing on reimagining and restructuring BES. Sr Mariola the Coordinator for Education for Mangalore Province moderated the session. The meet concluded with an action plan for 2025 drawn in groups.
