On August 8th, 2025, a group of 65 enthusiastic students from St. Raymond’s High School, Vamanjoor, embarked on an educational visit to the Vijayavani Printing Press located in Koolur. The visit was a part of the school’s initiative to provide real-world exposure and enhance students’ understanding of the media and journalism industry.
During the visit, the students were taken through the various stages of newspaper production – from content creation, editing, designing, plate-making, to the final printing and distribution process. The staff at Vijayavani patiently explained each step, making the session highly interactive and informative.
This hands-on learning experience sparked a genuine interest among many students, particularly those inclined towards writing and journalism. The visit also inspired students to cultivate the habit of reading newspapers regularly, recognizing its importance in staying informed and building language skills.
A special word of thanks to Mr Sooraj, a proud alumnus of our school, whose efforts and coordination made this visit possible. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire Vijayavani team for their warm hospitality and for creating such a valuable learning opportunity for our students.
The visit to Vijayavani Printing Press was not only educational but also highly motivating, leaving a lasting impression on the young minds.
