On September 7, Rosa Mystica Convent joyfully celebrated the eve of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Sisters, tertians, novices, candidates, and hostellers came together in prayer and devotion, offering floral tributes to Our Blessed Mother. A meaningful prayer service led by Sr Juliet Shanthi prepared the community spiritually for the feast.
On September 8 at noon, the statue of Maria Bambina was carried in a solemn procession with reverence and devotion. This was followed by a value-based cultural program by the tertian sisters, which added to the festive spirit.
Sr Leena Pereira, the Superior, was greeted with a thoughtful skit by the community sisters. In a traditional gesture, Sr. Bernadette and Sr. Germine, the senior-most sisters, joined the Superior in mixing blessed new corn with milk, which was then served to all.
The meal was lovingly prepared by the sisters and served by the tertians, featuring a variety of vegetables and traditional payasam, which added sweetness to the celebration.
The day was marked by unity, reverence, and gratitude, making it a memorable and grace-filled occasion.
