The Bethany Convent in Limboi, Gujarat, witnessed a joyful and grace-filled celebration on the occasion of the 104th Foundation Day of the Congregation on 16th July. The day began with a solemn Holy Eucharist at 7.00 am, celebrated by Rev Fr Shaiji, the Parish priest of Limboi. The Sisters, along with the hostel children, participated prayerfully in the celebration. A special highlight of the Mass was the renewal of vows by the Bethany Sisters, symbolizing their continued dedication to the mission and charism of the Congregation. After the Eucharistic celebration, Fr Shaiji greeted all the Sisters symbolically with saplings. Following the Mass, breakfast was served to all the attendees, providing a moment of fellowship and sharing.
The celebration continued in the evening with a get-together of priests and sisters of Palanpur deanery at 7.00 pm, beginning with a short prayer led by Sr Justine Gracy, the Superior of the community. Guests were warmly welcomed with saplings, a gesture that not only honored Foundation Day but also commemorated World Environment Day, reflecting the community’s love for nature and commitment to eco-values.
