A spirit of joy and gratitude filled the air at Shanthi Rani Convent, Siddakatte, as the inauguration and blessing of its newly extended block took place on 6 April 2025, at 6.30 pm on Sunday.
The ceremony commenced with a solemn opening prayer and blessing of the renovated block by Rev Fr Maurice DSouza. Following the blessing, Rev Sr M Lilly Pereira BS, Provincial Superior of the Mangalore Province, formally unveiled the commemorative plaque, marking the completion of the extension.
In attendance were Sr Mariola BS, Assistant Provincial Superior, Bethany sisters from Taccode Convent, members of the BLA, and Mr Ravi, the contractor responsible for the project, along with other guests and well-wishers who joined in the celebration.
A highlight of the evening was the honoring of Mr Ravi, who was recognized for his dedication and tireless service in completing the extended block. His commitment was deeply appreciated by all present.
The event concluded on a warm and communal note with a fellowship meal, bringing together the convent community and supporters in celebration of this significant milestone.
