The Bethany Lay Associates (BLA) of nine units held their Zonal Level Convention at Bethany Provincialate, Vamanjoor, on November 8, 2025. Members from Ranipura, Karkal, Permannur, Badyar, Sampaje, Kanjar, Nirkan, Vamanjoor, and Bajpe actively participated.
The theme of the convention was “St Therese of Child Jesus is an inspiration for our missionary work.”
The day commenced with a prayer service and tribute to the Founder, SD Raymond Mascarenhas.
Rev Sr Lilly Pereira BS, Provincial Superior, appreciated the BLA members for their dedicated service, urging them to imitate St Therese by doing small things with great love. Fr Prakash OFM Cap inspired them to imbibe St Therese’s missionary zeal in their daily lives and celebrated the Eucharist.
The afternoon featured a competition where units presented medicinal saplings, with Vamanjoor winning first and Ranipura second. Ranipura secured first place in the Founder’s Quiz conducted by Sr Flavia Wilma and Karkal second.
Sr Cicilia Mendonca BS concluded by appreciating their passion and calling them to continue the Founder’s mission. The members left with renewed zeal to live the Spirit of Bethany.
