Gracy Bennis BS

The Bethany Lay Associates (BLA) of Vamanjoor joyfully celebrated the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Mother on 10th September 2025 at 5.30 pm at St Raymonds’ Convent. The celebration began with a prayer service led by Francis Periera, invoking God’s blessings and seeking Mary’s intercession. Sr Lavita Moras the Superior of St Raymonds’, community sisters and the BLA members honoured Infant Mary by offering flowers, expressing love and devotion to Mary. Anita Colaco Welcomed everyone.

Sr Flavia, Provincial Councilor and Coordinator of the Socio-Pastoral Apostolate, in her message, she encouraged the members to emulate Mary’s example by courageously standing for the poor and the marginalized, involving themselves in activities that bring solace and hope to society. She urged everyone to drawing strength from Mary’s courage and faith which leads us closer to Jesus.

A symbolic and touching moment was when Sr Flavia and Sr Lavita Moras mixed the new corn into the sweet dish, sponsored by Hilda DSouza, which was shared by all. This highlighted unity, love, and the spirit of family. The programme concluded with words of gratitude by Daisy DSouza, leaving the gathering enriched and joy-filled.
