The Bethany Lay Association (BLA) celebration was held with great joy and spiritual fervor. The event commenced with a solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr Arun Dsouza, Superior of Mariashram, Polali. His meaningful homily and the lively liturgy set a prayerful and enthusiastic tone for the occasion.
Following the Eucharist, a short cultural program was organized. There were 15 BLA members. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Sr Shanthi Agnes. A special highlight of the program was a tribute to our Founder, Monsignor Raymond Francis Camillus Mascarenhas, offered by the BLA members through heartfelt words, a devotional song, and floral homage.
The novices added vibrancy to the celebration with an energetic and graceful dance performance. Sr Leena Pereira, President of the program, extended her greetings to the BLA members and felicitated them with a symbolic gift of fruit saplings, promoting care for creation and fruitful living.
Mrs Vijaya D’Costa expressed gratitude on behalf of the community through a well-articulated vote of thanks. The entire program was smoothly and graciously compered by Sr. Juliet.
Adding to the joy of the event, family members of the BLA were also invited and shared in the celebration, enhancing the sense of community and togetherness.
A sumptuous meal was prepared in honour of the BLA members. All enjoyed the fellowship meal and returned with joy that was experienced in the house of Bethany of Martha Mary and Lazarus
The celebration was a beautiful blend of spiritual enrichment, cultural expression, and fellowship, truly honoring the legacy of our Founder and the commitment of the Bethany Lay Association.
