The Bethany Foundation Day was celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm at Sacred Hearts’ High School, Kulshekar, commemorating the founding of the Bethany Congregation by Servant of God RFC Mascarenhas.
The celebration began with a solemn prayer service, invoking God’s blessings upon the Bethany Congregation and all those who continue the noble mission of spreading love, compassion, and education. The life and vision of the founder, Servant of God Raymond Francis Camillus Mascarenhas, were remembered with deep admiration and gratitude. A special programme was conducted, where students presented a meaningful skit, songs, and dance performances based on the values and mission of Bethany. The performances highlighted the legacy of selfless service, women empowerment, and commitment to education—core principles cherished by Bethany institutions. Mrs Sabitha Saldanha the vice president of PTA and Sr Nandita were the chief guest expressed their gratitude towards the services the Bethany sisters. Sr Cynthia D Cunha the headmistress, addressed the gathering and spoke about the profound impact of the Bethany Congregation in the field of education, especially in reaching out to the poor and marginalized. She encouraged students to imbibe the values of love, service, and faithfulness in their daily lives.
To mark this Day, a poster-making competition and value-based activity sessions were conducted to help students reflect on the mission and values of Bethany. The school campus was adorned with inspiring quotes and messages from the life of RFC Mascarenhas. The celebration was not just a remembrance of the past, but a reaffirmation of the school’s commitment to the vision of its Founder. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and the singing of the Bethany Anthem, filling everyone with pride and a renewed spirit of dedication. Indeed, the day served as a reminder of the glorious legacy of Bethany and inspired all present to walk in the footsteps of its founder, bringing light to others through faith, love, and service.
