Bethany Convent School, Limboi Gujarat Students Look at Border Life During Nadabet Excursion

One hundred and ten students from Bethany Convent School, Limboi, embarked on an enriching one-day excursion to Nadabet on February 20, 2025, gaining firsthand experience of border life and the region’s historical significance. The trip, designed to complement classroom learning, offered students a unique opportunity to explore the scenic beauty of Nadabet and delve into its rich history.

Departing from the school at 6:00 am, the enthusiastic group of students, accompanied by teachers and staff, arrived at Nadabet at 11.00 am. Their itinerary was packed with insightful experiences, including a visit to the majestic Zero Point Border, where the Indian and Pakistani borders converge. Students witnessed this critical juncture, learning about its historical importance and the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.

The highlight of the day was an evening parade featuring the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans. The impressive display of discipline, skill, and patriotism left a lasting impression on the students. They witnessed the dedication and bravery of the BSF personnel, gaining a deeper appreciation for their role in safeguarding the nation’s borders.

A visit to the Nadabet museum provided further context, showcasing the history and culture of the area through artifacts, photographs, and exhibits. Students explored the exhibits, learning about the region’s past and its significance in shaping the present.

Throughout the day, the students actively engaged with BSF jawans, learning about their daily lives and the challenges they face. These interactions provided valuable insights into the importance of border security and the sacrifices made by those who protect the nation. The trip proved to be a powerful lesson in history, patriotism, and the realities of life on the border. The students returned to Limboi with a newfound understanding of the region and a deeper appreciation for the men and women who serve the nation.
