Bethany Convent Bhiloda

Bethany Convent Bhiloda is located in the campus of St Xavier’s school Mankroda Bhiloda. As part of St Xavier’s Girl’s Hostel building is given by the Jesuits- Gujarat Province to Bethany Sisters Residence, as we collaborate with them in Educational (English Medium) apostolate, Hostel apostolate and Pastoral apostolate

June 2015 to 2018 May two Sisters were serving at Bhiloda collaborating with the Jesuit Fathers in Educational apostolate (English Medium) and Hostel apostolate 2018 June onwards three sisters – two in school one hostel warden.

The canonical Erection of the community took place on Saturday March 2^nd 2019. The Blessing and the Erection of New Bethany Convent of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany Mangalore was held at Bhiloda , Gujarat at 9.00am . Sr Cicilia Mendonca BS the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province unwailed the plaque. Sr Lilitta the Delegate of the Superior Genearal and the General councilor inaugurated the Convent building. Arch Bishop Rt Rev Dr Thomas Macwan of Gandhinagar Diocese Blessed the building and prayed over it. There were the other Provincial councilors along with the Procurator of the Province as well as Bethany Sisters from Vadgum Community. Jesuit priests and the Hostel children along with their mentors joined the occasion. The Eucharistic celebration held at Catholic Church, Bhiloda at 10.30am

On 2^nd March 2019 Sr Theresa Sequiera was installed as the first Superior, other members are Sr Jyoti Lakra and Sr Reshma Fernandes. 03.06.2022, Sr Sharmila  was installed as the new Superior of the Convent. At present Sisters of the community involved in Educational Apostolate, English medium school, Hostel and Pastoral Ministry.
