The Annual General Body Meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association at Bethany English Medium School, Bajpe, was held on 5th July 2025 with great enthusiasm and active participation.
Mrs. Irine Rebello, the resource person for the event, delivered a thought-provoking talk on “The Role of Parents in the Progress of Students.” She emphasized the importance of nurturing children’s willpower, determination, and perseverance. She advised parents to recognize and develop the hidden talents and potential in their children instead of exerting pressure on them. She also highlighted the power of positive words and the need to instill awareness, cooperation, and a love for learning to help children grow into compassionate individuals.
The president of the program, Sister Flavia Wilma, the school correspondent, addressed the gathering and expressed that if students adopt strong principles and self-discipline, and move forward with dedication, success will surely follow.
The headmistress, Sister Veena D’Souza, felicitated the newly elected office bearers of the Parent-Teacher Association. She also honored the Class 10 students who achieved the highest marks by presenting them with mementoes, shawls, and flowers.
Dignitaries present on the stage included School Correspondent Sister Flavia Wilma, Local Convent Supervisor Sister Lilly D’Souza, Headmistress Sister Veena D’Souza, Resource Person Mrs Irine Rebello, and newly elected PTA Vice President Mrs Vidya Shetty.
The program began with a graceful prayer dance, followed by a warm welcome speech delivered by Ms Chaitra. The event was professionally anchored by Mrs. Rohini, the annual report was presented by the headmistress, and the vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Savitha.
