The Annual Sports Meet 2025 of St Raymond’s English Medium School, Vamanjoor, was held on 25.10.2025 at 9.00 am. Sr Cicilia Mendonca, Correspondent of the school, presided over the event.
The ceremony was graced by Mr Ravalendra, Police Sub-Inspector of Vamanjoor, and Mr Elias Fernandes, Proprietor of Four Wings Mass Communication and Services, Mangalore, who served as Chief Guests, Sr Lavita Moras, Superior of St Raymond’s Convent Vamanjoor, attended the program. Other dignitaries included Mr Ikbal Hasan, PTA Vice President; Mrs Nagarathna, Member of the Police Department; Sr Vidya, Headmistress of St Raymond’s School, Vamanjoor; and Sr Paulette, Supervisor of St. Raymond’s Degree College, Vamanjoor.
The guests were warmly welcomed with a rhythmic dance performance followed by an impressive mass drill by the students. Sr Cicilia Mendonca hoisted the school flag, which was followed by the march past. The program commenced with a prayer song, after which Sr Manisha Rodrigues, Headmistress, extended a formal welcome to all dignitaries.
The sports meet was symbolically inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr Ravindra. The torch was then carried by Sharan, the Sports Captain, and ceremonially handed over to Mr Elias Fernandes.
In his address, Mr Ravalendra extended his best wishes for the sports meet and encouraged the students to excel. Sr Cicilia Mendonca, in her presidential address, motivated the students to participate enthusiastically and demonstrate their sportsmanship.
Medals were presented to the winners among the kindergarten students, celebrating their achievements. Sr Manisha Rodrigues honored the guests by presenting them with mementos as tokens of appreciation. Mrs Stinita proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event. The entire program was expertly compered by Sr Sushma.
