On 16 September 2025, the Rosa Mystica Community, Kinnikambla, inaugurated its Twin Jubilee Plantation Project with the planting of around 2000 arecanut saplings.
The project was blessed by Rev Fr Sunil, Director and Administrator of Snehasadan. Rev Sr Lilly Pereira, Provincial Superior, was accompanied by her Provincial Councillors — Sr Mariola, Sr Dona Sanctis, Sr Flavia, and Sr Shalet D’Souza — along with Sr Flossy Menezes, the Province Procurator. Their presence and blessings added grace and solemnity to the occasion.
The ceremony was meaningfully initiated by Sr Sabina and Sr Bernadette, the senior-most members of the community, who planted the first saplings. Sr Leena Pereira, the Superior, together with the other sisters, followed by also planting their share.
The spirit of teamwork came alive as workers and novices, under the guidance of the sisters, continued the plantation with great enthusiasm. A sprinkler water facility has been installed to ensure regular care and growth of the young plants.
We highly appreciate and congratulate Sr Leena Pereira, the Superior of the community, for her firm initiative and meticulous planning that made this ecological and sustainable venture possible.
May the Lord of creation bless this land and cause the newly planted arecanut trees to grow strong and fruitful, bringing future blessings and financial support to the Congregation.
In this way, today’s venture and labour become a legacy of faith, responsibility, and sustainability for generations to come.
