On 13th July 2025, at St Joseph the Worker Church, Vamanjoor, the Bethany Sisters of St Raymond Convent joyfully celebrated the 104th Foundation Day of the Bethany Congregation and inaugurated the Golden Jubilee Year of St Raymond Convent. The Holy Eucharist was solemnly celebrated by Rev Fr James DSouza, Parish Priest, along with the faithful gathered in devotion. During the introduction, Sr Vidya BS, eloquently shared the mission and apostolate of the sisters, emphasizing their dedication to education, faith formation, and Spiritual support in the Parish.
In his homily, Rev Fr James Dsouza urged the faithful to practice generosity towards their neighbours, reflecting true love. He also commended the sisters, saying, “I admire the generous and loving services these sisters render in this area. May the Servant of God, Fr RFC Mascarenhas, be raised to the honours of the altar.”
The celebration was graced by Rev Sr Dr Lilly Pereira BS, Provincial Superior, who expressed her appreciation for the committed and selfless service of the sisters. She Congratulated Sr Lavita BS, Superior of the community, and all the sisters for their unwavering dedication to their mission, which continues to bring hope and transformation to countless lives.
The presence of Parishioners, Bethany Lay Associates (BLA), and the sisters of the community added to the solemnity and joy of the occasion as together they raised their hearts in gratitude for God’s abundant blessings upon their journey. The SRA sisters also conveyed their heartfelt wishes and prayers for the continued success of their mission. The Liturgical celebration was enhanced by the melodious choir led by the Bethany sisters, with Sr Sadhana accompanying them on musical instruments, lifting the hearts of all towards God in praise and thanksgiving.
As we mark this significant milestone, we are reminded that Bethany remains a home of love, compassion, and service, deeply rooted in faith and committed to radiating God’s love to every heart it touches.
