Jyothi High School Prarambhotsava was held on 2nd June at 10.30 am. All the students were welcomed in the school campus by strewing flowers on them. They were escorted to the hall by the school band. Sr Suma the school counsellor presided over the programme. Mrs Mary Mascarenhas the Vice President of the Marne Gram Panchayat was the chief guest. Mr. Santhosh Nayak, the Alumni and the benefactor of the school and Mr Vitttal Poojary the vice president of the PTA were the guests of the day. The programme began by invoking God’s blessings on the new academic year through lighting of the diya. Free books of the Government were distributed to the students by the dignitaries. The guests wished the students well for the new academic year and invited them to set right goals to achieve success in life.
