History

Bethany Lay association in St Xavier’s Convent, Ajekar was started in the year 2014 with 5 members. Sr Acquilla was the then Superior and Sr Anita Lydia was the Animator. At present there are 10 BLA members.

Activites:

1. Prayer and adoration 2. Visit to the sick, elderly 3. Pilgrimage to Holy places 4. Visit to Snehalaya and help given to them 5. Christmas celebration with the Hostel children of Raichur 6. Retreat once a year 7. Visit to Founder’s cottage 8. Once in a month members meet together and classes are taken according to the BLA manual 9. Celebration of the twin Jubilee of the founder on Sunday in the parish. BLA members conducted the liturgy and Sr. Lisa spoke on the virtuous life of the founder for 5 minutes and all the parishoners appreciated this.
